I never log revisits to pillars, however this pillar is an exception and to maintain the continuity of the Bowland Dozen 10/12. An epic fell race from Bleasdale in February 2022 came here and then onto Parlick. An abundance of memories/places associated with that day and the pillar and Paddy's Pole is gifted them.

After a friend and I contemplated a retreat due to a severe snow storm we both arrived at Bleasdale for Bleasdale Circle fell race. The whole day was epic due to the amount of snow that had fallen in a couple of hours. Straight up onto Paddy's Pole then over to Parlick before sledging down on our bottoms. Tons of snow on the top and been near the rear meant pathways cut in the snow. Lovely Lancashire gets the two trigs today, an absolute unforgetable visit to the Forest of Bowland.

More excellent all-round views including Three Peaks, much of the Lake District, Morecambe Bay, Blackpool Tower, the Great Orme and the East Lancashire Moors. Approached via the steep hike up Parlick. This location (or, more probably, Paddy's Pole, the cairn close by), was "Bleasdale", the origin for the County Series mapping of Lancashire.
