Measured offsets from fence and gate posts as per OS diagram. Prodded ground with long bladed screwdriver but no evidence of the block found. As others have stated the block was destroyed when the footpath was built.

TP0031 Approximate position where the block was located marked by a blue handled screwdriver.

Most likely it's gone, although measurements don't quite bear out the new foot/cycle path covering, however the groundwork for it probably put paid to it. Anyway, peregrinus has probably decided it by doing the dig.

dug down at location as per os sketch, in line with 4th fence post and distant electricity pole, 0.95m from road edge. only tarmac, no trace of concrete block. evidently removed during path construction

Visited with Alan who lives nearby in Crathes. Alan told me that the footpath, not shown on the OS diagram, was made in recent years, which may mean the block has been lost.
