Block is still there and in good condition. Found it relatively easily though the nettles did sting me a few times. The directions in other logs regarding finding the bock are still valid though the gap in the hedge is now almost completely filled in.

Found fairly easily thanks to previous visitors; cleared it a little, but as summer approaches it's sure to be hidden again. Celebrated with a fine pint of 'Good Old Boy' (which I hope I am) at the Fox, North Waltham.

1" bolt in block, 1m E of obvious gap in hedge, 1.5m from edge of tarmac. Easily found in depression left by jonglew, thanks

Left OS sketch at home - Doh! Prodded around at the GR but 3+ years of growth since last visit made that task an impossible one. Will return. ***Re-visited 9 Feb 2014. In the event didn't need the OS sketch, but had a better idea where to search this time. Found easily at W end of 'layby' (inverted commas as blink and it's missed). Un-earthed and left it open, nature will cover it quickly enough.

The block was almost clear, so it was a straightforward find - just a few dead leaves etc. on top of the bolt.

Nearly hidden in the long grass. We ought to thank the birders for making it more visible.

Without doubt our best TP yet! On arrival we doubted we would ever find it, but Ruth carefully poked around with her walking pole and eventually struck good! It was an inch or so deep in mud and thick vegetation but after a little work we were able to clear enough to reveal the Block. What joy!!
