As others, remains can be found by side of track under tree, easily spotted.

Found with ease thanks to the coords provided by Peregrinus. I was able to squeeze in through the brambles to capture a picture.

Joint visit with Carole. We parked at the track entrance just beside where the remains of this pillar is now located. It is actually quite easy to find at the moment as some of the trees and undergrowth have been cut back. Really nothing remains except lumps of concrete. Shame really.

Great find!! - as described remains of/damaged lying buried in undergrowth at base of small tree, I used the brut force and ignorance approach insted of gardening tools (big feet and lots of stamping) got some stings and scratches on the way in, several pieces left turned a few over no sign of any brass work. GPS shows 76m

Found the remains - a few chunks of concrete in thorn scrub at TL 06666 78508, base of trees 15m NW of original location (TL 06679 78493). Two large chunks have outline of centre tube; one has a reinforcement rod. I pruned my way in but it will grow back - secateurs recommended. OS website says pillar destroyed 09/79 and replaced by Buried Block at same co-ords. I prodded a bit but no luck - guess it's buried! (pasture).
