The 3rd trig in our Black Isle trig bagging mini-tour en-route from Tongue to Aviemore. Located a few metres into the field from the road, a nearby farm gate gives easy access, and roadside parking available.

Parked on ground in front of barn on SE side of road at NH684659. Pillar on NW side of road by edge of arable field. Tertiary station pillar in good condition. Completed 31st January 1955 costing £20.16s.5d. Spider retains OS centre cap with raised large narrow letters. Flush bracket faces 152° (SSE). Vented through NW sight hole. 112° panorama from NW to ENE.

One of the first geocaches we ever found and the first near a trigpoint, strange as it's in the middle of an area used as a dump, the cache was called 'trig of the dump'
