Lockdown bag! First trig I've visited in an age, what with COVID-19 and all. Walked to it from home, 22 mile round trip. Cut along field edges from public footpath to the north and tiptoed among the newly planted whatever-it-is for a cheeky touch-and-run. Scored ridiculously highly for a fairly mundane trig, but I could see the Peak District in the distance and it made my heart sing.

Wide field margins meant I only got mud caked boots for the last part of the journey. All good - expect for the missing centre cap. Historic Yorkshire's most southerly pillar, and my 250th extant one. Pillar history: Built on the 13th of June 1937, at a cost of £4 8s 0d. Last maintained by the OS in May of 1983.

If you continue a little way further south along Winney Ln then there is a gate permitting access into the field in which this pillar is located.
