Nice and prominent painted white next to the old lighthouse, although it's nicely maintained with paint by the friends of the lighthouse, the pillar is a little damaged. Logged location is from the phone GPS, Garmin Etrex recorded TA 24959 70809.

Bagged after a coastal walk. Parked in the top car park. The Trig is situated beside the old lighthouse but is on the private golf course property. I ducked under the fence to get to it. Luckily no golfers were about.

We enjoyed a walk along the cliff tops from the car park on Lighthouse Road, watching dozens of seals before cutting inland over Cross Bow Hill. The pillar is found tucked up next to the old lighthouse a few meters from the road. Technically it is a trespass onto the golf course, and there is a wooden fence and a locked gate to the lighthouse in the way, but they are no obstacle. We waited until a golfer had played his shot and moved away, then quickly nipped under the fence to the trig. The pillar is heavily weathered and has a replacement cap, but the gleaming white paint job made it look very smart next to the lighthouse. Nice views, easy access - a great trig to visit. Pillar #80 for my little trigbagger - closing in on her maiden century!

Positioned within the golf course next to the Chalk Tower. A quick hop through the fence to bag the trig. Lots of interest in this area especially at seabird nesting time, well worth a walk north along the cliffs.

Nice and easy trig to find. Bitter cold day, had a chat with the golf club green keeper who told us there is no problem with through the fence to photograph the Trig good contition and good paint but ne top plug.

Located at the base of Old Flamborough Head lighthouse, a Grade II* listed structure dating to 1674. The pillar has lost its centre cap and has either an asphalt or mortar plug, painted so unsure which. The rear sight hole is open, other 3 not checked.

(617) Situated next to the Grade II listed old chalk tower light house, both of which are within a golf course. A gated path leads to both, but that was locked. Waited a few minutes to let two lady golfers move on, and then it was under the fence and up to the trig. All in good condition - minus it's original plug - and painted gleaming white. Pillar history: Built on the 15th of February 1951, at a cost of £11 19s 6d. Last maintained by the OS in September of 2000.

I had taken my 9 year old daughter to Brid for the Saturday/Sunday. The deal was if I went on the fairground rides she would come to the trig at Flamborough Head with me. Many many rides later I got my wish! I parked at the P&D car park and walked back up the road. There is a private sign on a gate near the golf course, but if this is a trespass it's only a very short and very harmless one. I didn't try the gate I just nipped under the fence and the few yards to the trig which is located near to the old tower and is unmissable. VG condition, painted white and well looked after presumably by the golf course. Fantastic area, sea views over the Yorkshire Coast. A great weekend. Picture by Melissa x

Cheekily parked on the double yellows in front of the bungalows for the short duration of the visit. There's a gated path to the trig - unfortunately the gate was locked, no matter, it's simple enough to gain access. Very blustery today as storm Frank passed through.

Visited whilst on holiday in Scarborough, we got the train to Bridlington then the 100 service open top bus to Flamborough Lighthouse. I had to ask permission from the work men who had just started erecting the scaffolding around the old lighthouse. The lighthouse was built in 1674 and is the earliest known lighthouse still in existence in the UK. It was built by order of Sir John Clayton, on a commission from Charles II. Clayton intended to build two more lighthouses and earn money by charging tolls from ships rounding Flamborough Head.

Bagged this one after watching the sun rise on the longest day off Flamborough Head. Painted white and easily accessible. Thought I would have the place to myself, but ended up sharing the experience with other people of a similar inclination and a group of Hell's Angels.

Just off the first east-west map for the TPT, (which explains why we went to the lighthouse instead of the bird sanctuary as intended), so not researched. But then as when drove off passed the old lighthouse she shouted out "Look - a trig point!". Fabulous. A sunny day and an unexpected treat.

A lovely white-painted pillar adjacent to the old lighthouse tower and the golf course. Easy access from road. Asphalt plug. N sighthole open, others below grass level. Wonderful views on a day so windy it was hard to stand upright!

Ah an actual pillar I can touch but no pictures as phone was too low on battery. Bright white with a concrete plug. Gate on roadside is locked but easily hopped over.

Extremely visible from the road. The little gate was locked so it was a quick hop over the fence on a beautiful warm and sunny autumn day. After this we went down to the beach at Danes Dyke for a paddle.

21 years after first visit. The Lighthouse was built in 1674 by Sir John Clayton. It is the oldest surviving complete lighthouse in England but was never used!

After 4 years of Trigpointing I have finally reached my century and can proudly log this as my 100TH PILLAR. Not a bad one either, great location on the manicured lawns of a sea view golf course and it's been here since 1954 , a mere newcomer in relation to the 24 metre tall (original & disused) Chalk lighthouse that towers above it and has cast a shadow at this place since 1669. A brigtly whitewashed trigpoint that is listed by the O/S website at a height of 51.998 metres a/s/l ( 170.60 feet).

The pillar, including its asphalt plug, is painted bright white and stands next to an old chalk lighthouse tower on the edge of a golf course; it has FB S6327 and is easily reached through a gate on the nearby road. The coastline can be seen beyond Scarborough to the north and between the houses to the south parts of Bridlington Bay can be seen.

Right next to the old lighthouse, and despite being late to visit it the 'keeper' - who was just leaving - kindly allowed me and Sue and another family extra time to view the old building. It's a hollow shell nowadays but 86 (steep) steps take you to the top to see a grand view of ........... well, the golf course really - which is a bit sad. The old lighthouse is still surving (thankfully) and the trig's in great condition.
