Bagged as YSM346 Fox Hill. Even though we had a log telling us not to do it we followed the sat nav which took us a silly way and also had to open and close 4 gates on a wee road to a farm, where we found a spot to park. Then walked by house and followed ROW up through the fields of new wee lambs to the pillar on a cold morning. A good start to day 4 of the mad trig bagging trip.

Made a real meal of this one! Drove up Jubilee Avenue which is due south of Lower Shuckborough off the A425 and had to open and close four gates on the way up. I parked opposite the footpath which led directly to the pillar. Very good views but not much white paint left on the pillar. Oh, I also had to open and close the four gates on the way down, ho hum.

If youíre approaching this one from the south, youíll need to open the gate across the road then pull off to the right a few yards further on. Follow the path through two fields and then strike off for the top of the hill once youíre through the last gate. This T/P is painted white and sticks out like a sore thumb... you canít miss it. Itís complete and in good condition. The centre plug has raised lettering. The views are really quite good and worth the climb.

We parked near Halls Barn Farm and took the footpath east from there. The first field had cows, calves and a bull in it but he didn't take any interest in us. A bit of a pull up to the top and as Saginanivalis says there are excellent ridge and furrows, the wind turbine looks a bit dilapidated though. Good views towards Charwelton. Plug with raised lettering.
