Very easy find now the new NT stone signage is in place. I removed the turf to photograph the bolt, and replaced it after. Some very odd stares from the third estate, but no-one interested enough to ask - perhaps it was the spade and the long screwdriver!

1" bolt. Now easy to find as it is located directly in front of a new NT sign.

The car park was surprisingly full this early in the morning. I parked on the roadside at Hellís Mouth and explored the nearby coast before wandering up to the car park. The cliffs are spectacular and there is less of the wreck of the Secil Japan than my visit to the area a number of years ago. The block is situated underneath a silver Vauxhall on the grass verge between the B3301 Hayle to Portreath Cliff Road and a gravel car park. The car park was full, mostly of over night camper vans. The block was not obvious on the ground but I decided not to start prodding the ground with my trusty tent peg as I could not think of a believable response if I was challenged by a member of the Dutch family preparing breakfast in the adjacent camper van or if the owner of the Vauxhall returned. From the site St Ives and its Bay can be seen to the southwest; farmland stretches out to Carn Brea in the southeast. The site is within the Godrevy Head to St Agnes SSSI, the Godrevy to Portreath Heritage Coast and the Godrevy to Portreath area of the Cornwall AONB.

Parked in the ajacent car park for my visit to TP6395. Didn't have any location details from OS, so wasn't too optomistic. However, GPSr led me to right spot and it appears that someone had been there before, as the block was clearly visible.

First Surface Block I've found, it was a bit hidden by the grass and had me wandering around for a while before I spotted it. A nice location, close to Hells Mouth.
