re-visit. Came the opposite way from first time using footpath from lane to NW near Pickford Farm. Unsigned and through nettle infested patch at first, but then well used/worn route. Enjoyed listening to two soaring skylarks. Pillar with type of plate with "s" appearing above numbers between B and M.

Early start to Mega-Friday where I am planing on bagging 12 trigs around Coventry. It was peeing it down when I started out but, by the time I got to this first trig, it had dried up and the sun was coming up. Trig is easy to find as its just of footpath.

Walked up from road to east having been harassed by numerous Jags and Range Rovers on their way home! Several oilseed rape fields to cross before reaching pillar.

iv walked my dog around that field for months and never noticed it till today, and had my camera with me so took some pictures, anyway i didn't know what it was so i googled the code and it came up with this website, but yeah, iv seen on the picture it had a coat of paint well its not white anymore haha but it looks alright, just the hedge has started to grow over it and its very messy.

This was possiably one of the very first Trigs I visited as a child. 40 plus years later a re-visit was due. Easy to find. It has just had a fresh coat of paint and the hedge trimmed back. A nice break before a trip to the N.E.C.

The trig is in fine health on the W side of the hedge just S of the public footpath - not Toppled or Moved at all. I can understand why SlainteJimmy could not find it after dark, and there are a number of concrete blocks on the field margins. BSM style. Intact plug.

One of those flush brackets with an elevated 'S'. Some cracking but not significant. E sighthole open the others closed. In a hedge just off a public path not far off the A45 so found it on the way home from Draycote Water. It could be more difficult in summer when the foliage gets going. Views E obscured by hedge but some views S/W.

Allan bolt plug in place. E sighting hole open, FB on W side. Hedge row on E side slowley growing over TP. Stood on TP to obtain views of other TPs. Coundon TP obsurded by trees. Walsgrave TP should be visible - could make out Walsgrave Hospital. Had difficulty with Corley TP due to tree 50m N of TP, but I could make out the radio mast near Corley TP so it should be visible. View of Coventry from top of TP, but at ground level obsured by hedge.

One of those with the "S" between the B & M, rather than before the number. The pillar is showing a crack, but nothing has flaked off and its definitely still 'good' Easy footpath walk in.
