Parking near signpost on Merkin road to the north - not shown on Streetview. Easy ascent, trig visible from start, only problem was avoiding the cows as my collie isn't keen on them. Track good but cow diversion boggy and uneven. Easy 20 minutes stroll.

Guard collie.

Log #422. Parking available on dead-end road to north, then a simple walk up to the trig, following the obvious track and making use of the gates. Herd of super-docile coos to negotiate near the top, and a wee bog just before the pillar. Good condition, offering expansive views over Dumbarton Muir and the Kilpatricks. Very good condition pillar at the high point on the moor. Easy walk up from the road to the north along the marked and good condition path. FB faces east-ish with the north-ish sighthole open only. Good views to the north taking in the local pillars plus Loch Lomond. Good visibility today with views right up to the Cobbler. Nice, but not as good views as Duncryne which is right in front of you!

Intact with base a little exposed and only North sight open. A tussocky, sheep-strewn hillock with only little Duncryne between myself and a rainy but grand view of Loch Lomond.

Gallangad Muir ...little Duncryne and Lomond to the North.

Well placed for views in all directions. Had a much better view today than on Duncryne last week, although that is probably mostly because of the weather. Luss Hills, Ben Lomond, Trossachs, Campsies all shone as the sun lit up their snow today.
