Provides for some pretty decent views though visited on a stormy day. The pillar is sited a short distance from the light house. Centre piece is missing from the spider and now has a plastic disc replacement.

Crossed estuary from Rock to Padstow on ferry and walked road to Harlyn (fast traffic, scary) and up onto Trevose Head to pillar next to relay station, many hairline cracks in all surfaces. Stunning coastal scenery, particularly Bull Rock, which, with a heavy sea running bore a striking resembalence to the sea stack that Dumbledore and Harry apparate onto before entering the sea cave in search of Slytherins locket in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Returned to Padstow on coast path, beautiful seascape and beaches.

Cliff top location, near coast guard radio mast and lighthouse. On walk from Treyarnon Bay to Harlyn Bay with Helen & Ross. Great views, nearby Round Hole is worth a look.

Drove almost right to it but does cost £3.50 to go past the farm. Worth it though. Even on a dull day the views were very good. Nice lighthouse too. Trig is hidden behind a mast at the top of the hill. Very popular Boobys Bay nearby. Great name.

you have to pay to use the road according to signs but as i was not stopped by anyone i drove straight up to the car park fantastic views of the north coast nice walks round the top also of the lighthouse. pillar has a slight chip on corner

Memorial Lawrence Neal was born in London 1895, fought and was injured in the Somme. Worked and ran the Daniel Neal's Department Stores which were sold to the John Lewis Partnership in 1963. He died in 1996 in Aberystwyth. His wife died in 1949 and their daughter is the other name on the Memorial.

A sign at the gate to the headland suggested it would be locked at 8:30 pm so it was a quick dash to the pillar and not much enjoying of the lovely evening sunshine and sea views.

Nice trig, fantastic place, great views (do not presume there will be Pay & Display machines at the carpark near the trig, there aren't, get your ticket on the way up from the holiday park where you see the warning sign 'Have you paid & Displayed' otherwise you risk a hefty fine or clamping. Believe me, I know !!!).

The pay and dislpay machine was broken so we didn't have to pay the toll, which is now £3.50. Painted white with excellent views. Plug replaced with plastic insert.

Wow, well worth the toll. On a fish cookery course in Padstow; fantastic sunny evening so decided to come up here for a short walk east along the coast path to Harlyn, across to Constantine Bay and back up the west side of the headland. Followed by the most spectacular sunset.

You know you are on to a winner (view wise) when the pillar is located adjacent to the Coastwatch Station. And I can confirm this. Stunning views up and down the Coast, and similar inland. It is probably worth the £2 toll to see this one - alternatively, as I did, cycle there - brilliant day
