From Auchinleck Bridge car park. A boring forestry logging road followed by a boggy firebreak followed by a tussocky ascent followed by a marvellous view.

Drove forest road to park at its terminus (NX 4317 7393). Good break out to open hill side heading towards Sheuchanower, then due south at forest edge. Pillar retains original centre cap, raised lettering; constructed with no flush bracket; 2 adjacent sight holes open. Extensive panoramic views.

A joint visit with coinea on the Minigaff triggers weekend. A pleasant walk along the forest drive which approached a lot closer to the hill than the map showed and was definitely drivable and would have saved a lot of time. This was my first pillar seen without a flush bracket.
