Walked from 76250 57625 to the south east. Breezy but clear morning. Not too wet underfoot. Visited the Talbot Hotel for a pint after walk. A pint of Glaslyn no less from the Purple Moose Brewery.

On the fringes of the Tywi forrest. Pleasant location. Parked to the W just before the fords and cycled in on bridleway then walked the last 200m. Great views. Pillar in vgc.

Space for one just by the road head after the YHA. Ignore bridleway and follow white "lanes" through a Reliant Robin graveyard. Continue on these ignoring temptation to climb direct (not so good on top better for decent) eventually follow a sheep track curving steadily upwards to within 250m of the trig. Cairn shelter and the sun going down on teh shortest day.
