From car park at bottom of hill, quick walk up along PROW. Trig sits close to a tree, good views over the Cambrians. Trig is in good condition with spider and FB intact.

Lovely walk from the car park to the north.

Approached from the North after parking in a forestry car park, not on map, so a good find! Followed the path 100m and then turned left on clearly marked track then took the first right which led straight to trig on LHS of path, in the open. Not in woods as we thought when we set out! Great views west. Trig has a lot of cracking and chips missing. Flush Bracket and Spider in place but cap/plug is missing.

From CP to North East then up ridge path

Intending doing this from the SW, from layby on A483 but had trouble crossing the river, so drove round to NE end of Garth Bank and ended up driving up the logging road to within 100m of the trig! Unfortunately the local hunt, which I was told "definitely wouldn't be going up Garth Bank", went up Garth Bank, just as I was driving down! Pillar located easily at edge of a track after a little thrash through bramble and young conifers etc. It's lost its top cap and there is no plug; front sight hole sealed, other 3 open. There are numerous fractures on all faces and a little of the top screed is missing.

Pleasant plantation to walk through and nice to not have to battle through the trees for a change. There are several large cracks forming around the side of the pillar I seem to recall.

Easy walk up through a thinned conifer wood. We followed the track right round and then just headed up to it. No views, plug with heavily indented lettering.

Condition unchanged from 03 lots of moss on trig. Good parking at entrance to forestry road direct climbs from track interesting but I suspect the ride extends to the trackhead even if unmarked on the 25k.
