Walked up from the station in Bargoed having arrived by train. Always sad to see a pillar in this state. On the positive side there was not too much rubbish around apart from glass around the actual trig remains.

In 2 sections, both on their sides. Lower section is the foundations, lower bolt chamber exposed. Upper section approx 6m S, has the upper bolt chamber exposed, with top half of the pillar missing (except the central tube) so no spider, also no FB. A sad and sorry pillar! Small consolation is the Bargoed ROC Bunker close by.

why Lisa would pick this as our 2nd pillar for the day is beyond me, the pillar site is a complete tip, misty but on a good day the views could be decent.

Very little of the actual pillar remains. There is a separate large chunk of concrete which I presume is the base.
