Just a middle section with protruding metal shaft. Laying on its side.

Parked at the bottom of the track just after the leisure centre and followed the track up to the Reservoir. The remains of the trigpoint are located just next to the Reservoir boundary. The trigpoint is broken into two major sections with smaller fragments located around. Flush Bracket is missing but you can see the indent of where it once was.

Parking after school on common. Easy quick stroll up. Trig in pieces. Fews are ok. At least this one was kept outside a reservoir boundary.

2/2 from Pen Garnbugail car park. Walked along common, then to top of and rear of reservoir. Trig sat in three pieces. No FB or spider remains.

Very sad condition and very sad location. This area of the common is the local fly tipping site. Most of the rubbish is house waste which should go in just the normal bin.

Drove up through Bedlinog and pulled in nearby. Up past reservoir on right to find sorry looking double decapitated Trig. No flush Bracket but indented part where it was once held was visible . Foundation also visible but top of trig Spider/cap well gone! Thought I'd found top part nearby but unfortunately not!

Walked up from the station in Bargoed having arrived by train. Always sad to see a pillar in this state. On the positive side there was not too much rubbish around apart from glass around the actual trig remains.

In 2 sections, both on their sides. Lower section is the foundations, lower bolt chamber exposed. Upper section approx 6m S, has the upper bolt chamber exposed, with top half of the pillar missing (except the central tube) so no spider, also no FB. A sad and sorry pillar! Small consolation is the Bargoed ROC Bunker close by.

why Lisa would pick this as our 2nd pillar for the day is beyond me, the pillar site is a complete tip, misty but on a good day the views could be decent.

Very little of the actual pillar remains. There is a separate large chunk of concrete which I presume is the base.

A sad and sorry sight. Knocked over and broken into two pieces and barely recognisable as a trig. Flush bracket missing. Plenty of rubbish dumped at the location. Good views from here though.

There are plenty of other things nearby which some simpleton has destroyed too, including a car. This is the problem when the road is so near by. Nice, if unremarkable views.

Still two distinct pieces on the site and at least one small bit as well. Typical grotty Valleys top though havent they heard of picking up litter from Fly tippers in the council

Trig broken into 2 large pieces at summit, no sign of spider nor FB, interesting insight into internal structure of trig pillar design. Scruffy location, decent view. FB used to be S2215.

Very much as Maurice describes it, although to make matters worse there is quite a lot of rubbish around the remains of the pillar too. The 1994 OS list gives the FB no as S2215.

Pillar has been tipped over and broken into two main blocks. The flush bracket is missing as is the top of the pillar with the spider. Ground too disturbed to see lower block.
