Now in a gate garden, I have tried to access in th past. Luckily, this time, a very nice lady was able to grant access. Pillar would look nice with a lick of paint, but I suspect that it will be left grey and a bit lichen covered

On way down to Kenilworth/Coventry to meet up with some old school mates. Thanks to previous triggers for the details of this trig's location on a smart new estate. Permission was readily given by the understably bemused owner and the trig was there in the back garden in good condition; hard to imagine no surrounding houses.

Friendly owner showed us to the far rear of the garden where the pillar lurks behind a bush - amazing this survived the development of housing. Family watched us traipse across the lawn with some amusement.

An impromptu visit while taking my son to the Uni. The OS map gave the impression that the track from Gibbet Hill Road led to the trig, but I was not dressed for squeezing past the large gate. Glad I didn't now that I can see it wouldn't have got me to the trig anyway.

Having read the previous visitors report I decided to pay another visit to this trig. The owner of this huge house is not enamoured by the trig and therefore unlike other garden trigs it has not been made into a garden ornament. It is buried deep in the garden shrubery and therefore the only way to see it is with the owner’s permission.

I once thought this to be an inaccessable site, but a very upmarket housing development has splurged out into the fields and you can drive very close to the grid ref. No visble pillar, but it may yet survive in a garden. Odds are that it has gone, but it would be a lovely garden feature. It is still marked on current maps.
