Visited and allowed to drive to with the very kind permission of the land owner. Nothing really to add other than to confirm that it is still there and in good condition.

Pillar is v good condition, about 40m from mast. Acces from FP to the SW. If you choose this approach make sure you go to the Right(SW) of the conifers just before you cross a stile into sheep pasture, if you dont you will enter gorse and bracken hell ! Is then straightforward around fields until gate that leads into pillar field.

Parked outside farm at Rhiwonnen where greated by some farming chaps. Thought it was politic to ask about access to the pillar, and was encouraged to deviate from public footpaths to take to the fields to admire the views. The lady of the establishment was less keen warning there might be a nasty cow in the upper pastures. After some nappy changes our party reached the top (nice white pillar beside a fence) by which time it was almost dark, so the views missed! The only wild creatures encountered were a hedgehog and a fox.
