HISTORY: Pillar completed 6th June 1958 costing 77.0s.11d. Computed as tertiary triangulation station NG80/DM/T36 within the Fort William block during 1959, by distomat surveying methods. Levelled for height also in 1959. Last maintained by the OS in July 1978. SITE VISIT: Overall approach from NNW. Free car park provided at NM923792 by Callop. Followed mapped estate track south to NM919772, then unmapped track east via footbridge through woods to NM925768, crossed burn, SE out of woods and direct line to summit. First part on climb very damp, dryer ground higher up. Pillar in good condition. Spider centre open. Flush bracket faces northeast, ~38. All sight holes open, pillar bolt viewable through sight holes and down the centre hole. Full 360 panoramic view.

Pillar in good condition apart from weathering on SW face. Spider open, no cap or plug. Circuit from new Hydro dam above Callop to include Meall nan Damh. Previously visited this Graham 18/05/98 no trig details noted.

Not the summit, but looks just as high as the 636 spot height nearby. Visited along with nearby Meall nan Damh, usual Ardgour quality.
