This trig hasn't been visited for a while or perhaps it has but visitors couldn't find it. Dog walkers paths round field edges got me from the nearest FP and there it sort of was, hidden in the field edge hawthorn hedge attached to the back of a garden, invisible if you weren't looking for it. If it gets more overgrown you won't be able to find it. Not much in the way of views and I wouldn't be surprised if these fields squashed between roads end up as a housing estate.

This was a nightmare, eventually found the correct cul-de-sac to park in to access the field, found a wee path and then headed towards houses, headed into bushes which where surrounded by brambles and knee high nettles so left Charlie with Mum. After 10 minutes of being scratched to pieces I was still 30m from the trigpoint and faced with a hawthorn hedge to battle through. Then I heard a dog barking at me and his owner shouting 'you ok love', explained I was 'lost and looking for the ROW' to which he answered, 'well it won't be in that bush' and looked at me oddly. Once out on the path it was a short distance to the trig which has been encased in cut hawthorn, tools and gardening gloves would now be required to get a full inspection of this trig. On the way back to the dogs I shouted to my Mum to let them off but instead of coming round on the path they headed on my mad bush route, thought I'd lost them both and was so glad to see Charlie when he emerged unscathed I rolled about on the floor with him getting licked. What an adventure!

The last one of the day and what a challenge. I think this has been the most challenging of trig logs have ever undertaken. Parked in the Rykneld way and walked down the A5250 to use the PROW that goes between the houses, followed the path which goes through a couple of gates, at this point you think you are in a back garden of one of the houses. We then entered into the undergrowth in the general direction of the trig. Giant fungi, horrendously thick undergrowth overcome you find yourself on the fence line of the properties that front onto the A5250. Fortunate for us one of the residents had done some cutting back and our passage was made somewhat easier. We then emerged from the undergrowth back into the field to find the pillar within the hedge. As previous logs have suggested FB is a another challenge and caution if you are grubbing around at the top of the pillar, Barbed wire has been attached to the three eyelets. Not surprisingly All metal intact. Having done the log it was back the way we came but not before we were challenged by a local resident - neighbourhood watch !!
