To be precise, Bulwell Forest Golf Course. Asphalt plug. Pillar well to north end of course, where no fence separates it from Hucknall Rd. Found overlooking one of the tees. Good Friday golfers friendly & helpful.

Parked in Brownlow Drive just off Bestwood Park Dr West and parallel to the main road at traffic lights to the west . Then across road at the lights and south up the side of the golf course.

Parked in the Tesco's car park on the junction of Top Valley Way with Hucknall Road. Walked up Hucknall Road and then onto the golf course. The pillar can be found near one of the greens.

re-visit. 1st in 2007. Cycle lane in both directions. Fence along golf course edge finishes conveniently close to pillar. Easy enough to climb roadside bank. Waited for golfers to finish the hole and move off. 3 sight holes all open, cap replaced with asphalt.

(1430) Parked up on Brownlow Drive, and from there it was a short walk to the location. Golf course fenced off, except for the section with the pillar thankfully. Bank getting overgrown, but soon scaled. Pillar all good, though the plug is non original. Pillar history: Built on the 20th of August 1948, at a cost of £8 0s 10d. Last maintained by the OS in January of 1983.

Last of 8 on a cycle ride W of Nottingham. Parked on side road, Bestwood Park Drive, N of trig and walked back on to GC, easy access and easy to find in a well maintained landscaped setting. Views to W. On to Strelley back to the car and home. A great day trigging!

Higher score as golf course covered in snow and looking very festive - ideal for me as no worry about playing a second shot as I would be unable to spot my ball even on the remote chance I kept in on the snow-way. Now to walk off backwards in my footprints so it looks as though someone walked to the trig and disappeared.

Greenkeeper uses back of the pillar to hide the grass cuttings. Driving back to the north east from the south west. Suprised to see golf being played today, the courses in the SW were all so waterlogged all play was cancelled, i'm not a golfer, just an observation having visited many pillars on golf courses!

A day out trigpointing with CURRYSCRIM. Difficult parking along this busy road – just the one gateway that you can park in down the hill to the north of the trigpoint at SK5479146064. Apologies to barnsley skip I think you’ve got the coordinates mixed up with Arnold Lodge. Only a couple of golfers about today – some views to the north.

Lovely place for a TP. Parked on the main road about 20m away and walked up the bank. Easy to find because it is one of the few bits that has not got the fence running alongside the road. Nice views to the south.

How did this one get its name then? Had to postpone my approach as a group of men were looking fow a small white object in the vicinity - what strange hobbies some people have! I was walking up the road looking at the enormouse fences around the course thinking that they have builld a new fence but for some reasone there is no fence near the trig.

Easy access up a short path from the footpath on the A611. Concrete plug replacement and very little white paint but quite a lot of lichen! All sight holes are open. Views over the golfcourse to the west, otherwise nothing. Not a particularly auspicious pillar for my 300th log, but...at least it was there!

Eventually found without map in dusk but not at the natural hill summit - about 300 metres further north overlooking Bulwell. Just above the tee for the 346 yard par 3 ninth (stroke index 8). Concrete in spider

You can get to within 100 feet of the pillar on the A611, but still cannot see it! You have to climb up a bank and the pillar is just next to a Golf Course.
