A wild goose chase on Goose Hill. The development work for Sizewell C has fenced off the area to move reptiles. I was told this will be closed for the next few years. The contact numbers are on the attached photos. I got to 180m from the trig,

Approached from the oddly named 'Fiscal Policy' car park. Pleasant enough walk through Kenton Hills woods, but VERY tricky to find. Took four passes through the undergrowth to locate. Can't really offer any more advice than "persevere"...Consecutive FB numbers after TP4222 (King's Farm), always a pleasure!

KF A jungle trig. Completely missed it on the walk out to Sizewell Beach but paced the distance on the way back; spotted some evidence of a disappearing path into the bracken and there it was just visible N of the track. Wiggled our way to it, the pillar itself is still clear of vegetation for now. No view whatsoever.

Last of three days walking along Sandling's Walk from Ipswich to Leiston as I had done rest of walk before. Today's walk was bus Leiston to Farnham on A12 then a walk via lanes to Snape to join up on Sandling's walk. Had a bit of trouble finding this trig point as approached from coast and initial attempt to find it failed. More successful from forest marker number 7. Took track up through woods to cross tracks then paced it out eastwards and found the trig point well hidden in bracken to north of track. Cleared area around trig point of bracken to get decent photograph.

Woodland car park approx 2.2km to SW, off bend in Lovers Lane, popular with dog walkers as well as lovers! Good forest tracks all the way to within 20m of trig then a fight through gorse and bracken. Cleared away an area around it. Pillar has no top cap or plug; rear sight hole open. No views, not even a nuclear power station to be seen!

In second section of very nice woodland walk. Extra tracks not marked on map make this difficult to find. After going into the second section, past the water, at the first choice of tracks, take the middle of three. Eventually, you get ot a clearing with new firs planted. The TP is in an enclosed section, to stop wildlife eating hte new trees. There is a bit where the fence is loosely joined together about 100 yards before the TP, which allows some access. When the trees grow in a few years time, it will become difficult to find in summer, but will probably just peep out of the top of dead bracken in winter.

This a splendid walk of a about 3-4 mile round trip from the car park, the trigpoint itself is in a newly planted woodland, so will be hard to find in a few years time.
