1/3 from Cwm Chwefri. Nice walk up along well marked road/paths across common to ridge line. Then quite challenging heather and bog to the summit cairn and trig. Stone built trig on cairn wall. I imagine views spectacular on clear day…but zero visibility in the cloud. Trig is in good condition with spider and FB intact.

10 mile walk on Gorllwyn and Drygarn Fawr, on a lovely sunny day. I was expecting the walk between the two to be hideous and boggy, but it hasn't rained up here for ages so it was bone dry underfoot, made for very easy grassy terrain. Lovely area.

Visited Craig Chwefru first, then on to this TP. Started opposite Abernefal and headed W towards Bryn Du, roughly following Nant Nefal - first 500m was difficult going, with very boggy ground. At crest, headed SW to TP. Pillar is stone-built, and stands on a cairn with a section of wall. Good views for many miles all round, but not particularly inspiring. Continued by hiking NE to Y Gamriw.

Left the house at 05.45am. Stars out and a clear sky. It was still dark when I left the car at a lay-by just south of Cwmdulas Farm on the minor road souh of the mountain. Followed track onto mountain to a point north of Allt y Ddinas. Then followed sheep tracks north west for a just over 2 miles in thick fog. Found the trig and then returned. On the way back whist crossing boggy ground I pushed through reeds only to fall into a water filled hole. Wet to the waist. An unpleasant slog back to the car, this time following the Dulas.
