(206) And the last one for the day. Thought I'd taken a wrong turning, but pulling over to check directions and chatting to a farmer, I was indeed in the right place. Permission was freely given, and he mentioned that he often has folks stop by to check out the pillar. He said I could drive part of the way if I wished, but I didn't want to risk the car, so decided to walk to the pillar. He then said 'Don't mind the Bull. He's never bothered me...' That's reassuring to know! :-) Pillar all good.

Second of two trigs of the day. Parked on the bend of the road and walked down the lane. Trig is near the inside corner of a field on the N side of a E-W hedge near to a tree. Good views of rolling Lincolnshire countryside to the W. This trig, I hope, completes all the pillar trigs on Explorer map 273. Felt a sort of chuffed doing it. Trigging certainly gets you to parts other walks don't.

A joint visit with Carole. We parked on the road corner to the north-east. Then walked down the driveway to enter the field through a conveniently located open gateway. Then it was just a matter of following the hedgeline to the pillar. It is in good condition and still retains an original plug.

Accessed in the same way as the previous loggers, but late on a misty February day, so no view to be enjoyed, if there is one in this part of Lincolshire. Nevertheless, I was pleased to log this one as it is fairly local for me, but outstanding for a long time.
