Approached from west along track past Wick Country Park, through a light industrial estate, track turns south then is blocked by an electric gate. Beyond the gate the electricity wires are about 200 metres further south. On foot, fairly easy to walk around the gate, past several parked commercial vehicles and coloured horse boxes. Pillar a few metres past the overhead electric wires next to a fence and a small tree. Good condition, protected by tree, looks like a branch leaning on the top has worn away the inscription on the cap. Views to west. Raised S prefix. From here, headed east towards Southend, back west then south and then east onto A127, went past a turning off the main road for Fanton Hall, so possibly accessible from there although there is an electric gate and could be tricky turning off a fast road.

Met the farmer on the way down to Fanton Hall and asked if was ok to continue down to the trig as there a lot of no public access signs on the way down to the factory units.

vgc, metal cap with shallow letters very worn or even blank. At edge of arable field, just outside new paddock fence, a few m W of farm road. From S, was travelling eastbound, parked that side and had a bit of fun crossing the A12.

There have been some notable changes in the 3 years or more since this Trig was last logged. If you look at the photos supplied by "Neverlost" and compare them with the ones I have taken today you will see that the Trig is no longer surrounded by trees , they have all gone and the most notable feature is the deterioration of the readability of the Flush Bracket. Rather than this being corrosion I think it may be a build up of mud and other farm type components that would probably come off with a good pressure wash or sturdy brushing. I gave it a 6 just due to the fact that all parts of the Trig are intact even if the location is uninspiring. The farm road has been gated off to non authorised vehicular access but on foot you can just walk around it. A past visitor has also left a large heavy duty bolt on the Spider , but I chose not to move it.
