Parked in a recess mid way up tarmac road to the TV and Radio mast. Could see the pillar when approaching mast. Easy route through small plantation. Trig is situated in a lovely grass meadow field. Great 360 views. Spider intact. No cattle, no electric fences just jumps for dog trials beneath the mast.

Parked in entrance to transmitter. Easy walk up through small woods then pasture. Good view. Friendly farmer gave a wave as I returned to the car.

3rd time lucky for us with this one today, our two previous attempts having been abandoned due to the presence of horses/equestrian event in the vicinity of the trig. Easy access, parked just inside the gate to the mast and walked up through the fields. Excellent views in all directions for such a low lying trig.

Happy Trigger! :)
Lovely view of the trig with the Eildon Hills in the distance

No logged visits for 8 years & now two in six months! Seeing how remarkably easy this one is to get to Im surprised it doesnt get more visitors. Park at the bottom of the Ashkirk mast access lane and walk up it - keep right of the mast compound and you can see the pillar quarter of a mile away, with paths going most of the way to it

Great bank holiday weather. Bumped into shepherd busy lambing. Parked at entrance to the mast on the A7, short walk to the pillar along a made track.
