Wish I had checked current maps. My OS map does not show the electric fence that now closes off this pillar from the plantation due south. What a pallava. I chose to walk the Lairds Road and make my way up to Greenside Hill only to be met by electric fences everywhere. Took a long shot photo. Does this count? Binoculars showed this pillar to be in good nick. I will return, taking note of previous baggers routes.

Parked in the lay-by due north of the pillar, Through the adjacent gate then straight up the slope. Fortunately no cattle and the gates all lined up so no detours. Fine clear day so the views were as good as they could be.
