Walked from Kemberton. Taking in this pillar and Lodge Hill. Damp dim day. The site is also the resting place of someone called Brookes. A gin bottle, whiskey bottle, a Famous Grouse glass and a plaque, fixed to a beach tree accompany the pillar which is a little overgrown. Not the worst place to be buried or scattered.

Very dim day.

Beware the Sat Nav - mine thought the BW thru' Harrington Hall to the S was fair game. Maybe a road to the hall but you definitely need a horse afterwards.

Parked by gate access into field to south. Tater field this year and ridged up. Nightmare to cross so returned around the environmental margin of the field. Pillar is in the copse at the top of the hill adjacent to a depression. Flush bracket had to be dug out to reveal the number. There's a bird scarer 50m away be careful.
