Parked on Grindle Lane and walked up the field margin of the oil seed rape crop that was in full yellow flower. Pillar was in a copse which took away a lot of the view and my legs are still stinging from the surrounding nettles,3 hours ago.

Parked on Grindle Road. Walked through an open gate and walked the hedge line up to a copse of trees. The pillar is just inside the copse, which can be accessed through a gap in the fence

Pillar surrounded by brambles within the copice. Not any real view other than a small break in the hedge to see through to the brown Clee. Pillar in relatively good condition just weathered under the trees.

Approached from road to north then followed field boundary to a small copse to the east (left) of the field. A fine, white-painted pillar standing proud in the copse, but could do with another lick of paint.

Getting very windy to be out on a bike now. Easy enough to follow hedgerow up from gate on Grindle Rd. Hop over low fence to get to Trig in a very small coppice. Lots of remains of dead pidgins around it??

Walked from Kemberton. Taking in this pillar and Lodge Hill. Damp dim day. The site is also the resting place of someone called Brookes. A gin bottle, whiskey bottle, a Famous Grouse glass and a plaque, fixed to a beach tree accompany the pillar which is a little overgrown. Not the worst place to be buried or scattered.

Beware the Sat Nav - mine thought the BW thru' Harrington Hall to the S was fair game. Maybe a road to the hall but you definitely need a horse afterwards.

Easiy access from the road to the south up along field boundary and over a small wooden fence. The pillar is in a small wood and has quite a lot of white paint on it.

Parked by gate access into field to south. Tater field this year and ridged up. Nightmare to cross so returned around the environmental margin of the field. Pillar is in the copse at the top of the hill adjacent to a depression. Flush bracket had to be dug out to reveal the number. There's a bird scarer 50m away be careful.

Approached from the north on the lane from Kemberton. No problems with access. Pillar is on the edge of a small area of woodland and the pheasants were everywhere! Sunday lunches galore! All intact with original plug - slightly indented letters. Some white paint but fading. E and W sightholes open others closed. No real views today but could be better on a clearer day.
