After Ecton Hill rode through Butterton and the cobbled ford, bit nervy. From there about a mile south and then north west. Roadside pillar but on the field side of a barbed wire fence. Cattle nearby but ok to nip over fence for couple of quick shots. Spider with cap plugged with tarmac. Good all round views.

One of eight trig points bagged in the south of the Peak District. This was the sixth. Parked on the road side with pillar just the other side of a wire fence with barbed wire on top. At the time of my visit the area around the pillar was very boggy. Views are OK.The pillar is in generally good condition but the original centre for the spider has been replaced and now has a hole in it.

You will not be surprised to hear that the trig is on sun baked ground. At the side of the road and behind a barbed wire fence which you can cock your leg over. Found the CBM when retracing my route to go to Butterton. After the telephone box it is on your right and on a gate post at the entrance of a property. 4/5 gifted to the "swag" I have picked up from telephone booths since lockdown

Cycled along Manifold from Waterhouses then up to Grind on ,how did I manage to run up this hill . Pillar sits roadside past telephone box used to get some shelter from drizzle and freezing wind.Made mistake of going over fence and ending up with wet feet onwards to Moor Top.

Easy enough roadside bag, you need to go over the wall or gate into the field to see the flush bracket. Didn't bag TUMP as (a) I wasn't aware of it and (b) it wasn't at the trig site!

Last of 3 trigs, walked up from Ford, a picturesque hamlet. Easy find on N side of lane, had to lean over wall/barbed wire combination to touch it (not fully bagged for me if I don't). Views of rolling land, N, S and E. Didn't know Shropshire was so attractive.

From Martins Low pillar, N along Martinsfield Lane and Wooddisse Lane to join Parsons Lane. Pillar is located a few hundreed metres NW along Parsons Lane just inside a field behind a barbed wire fence. You'll need to cross the fence if you want to see the FB details but beware - the ground around this pillar was rather soft underfoot so I suspect it could be quite muddy after prolonged rain !! Cap has been replaced with tarmac (which has a hole in it) but otherwise in good condition. Average views when compared with Soles Hill. Returned to Wetton along the tarmac of Grindon Moor Lane, Weag's Bridge Road and Carr Lane.

Returning from a walk to Blake Mere, Revidge and Hill House. Found two cars parked right by the trigpoint – but no they weren’t fellow trigpointers – just a couple of young lads mending a stone wall in a nearby field. Good views up into the valley towards Wetton Mill.

4/4 on the 9 mile circular walk from Onecote. No problem climbing over barbed wire but a bit or a quagmire round the pillar.Reasonable views.Off to the Jervis Arms now for a well earned pint.

Another easy roadsider - four within a few miles of each other! Got a photo of the FB plate by lying on top of the trig and holding the camera at arms length down the far side... If you try this mind the barbed wire! Decent views

Just over fence and alongside road, but surrounded by a pool of water. Field is also very wet either side. Flush bracket faces away from road.
