A fitting end to an excellent weekend of orienteering in the Lakes, definitely worth the effort to climb up the hill. Sunny weather and fantastic views in almost every direction. I really didn't want to leave as that meant a 5-and-a-half-hour drive back to Oxford....

Top of the trig Centre hole seems to have been concreted up.

I was disappointed the previous day to have climbed Brant Fell SD4097596143 and to have found the trig point marked on the 1:25 000 map missing. I should have done my homework better as there is no reference to it on this site. It was therefore a relief to climb this hill and find an attractive trig made from local stone even if it does appear to be on a diet. I even persuaded Mother Ted to make the climb.
