Roadside trig, at present buried in a thick nettled hedge. Need to thrash round to the rear to get to the flush bracket.

Last one for today. As my bike was out of commission I had to be taken here in my personal, "Cycle Rescue Van". Thanks again Kathy for putting up with my little hobby. Good thing it is an easy road side one. Now to get back to the cottage for some lunch and change that, now dead, inner-tube!

(46) Easy enough to find the right road, but I ended up driving up and down it twice, as I must have blinked and missed the pillar. Easy parking. Pillar more viewable from inside the field, which isn't a problem. Situated next to a fairly large concrete structure, which I didn't investigate. Damage to the top of the pillar is evident.

On way to visit old uni mate, weather pissing down with rain so cut back on drive by trigs I had planned on doing. Couldn't find trig at 258859 so bagged this one instead, a hedge one in good condition with quite good views despite weather. Strange massive concrete block nearby. Could hear motorcycle race from Caldwell Park nearby.

Wires are tied to the securing rings on the top of the pillar. These can also be seen in ianmac's picture. The concrete block may be a water tank because of some seepage from a crack and what appears to be an overflow pipe at the top of the west side. Grid reference to 10 metres only.
