Extra marks for actually finding it, since it was a s*d! Although on a high plinth, it is now totally overgrown by the hedge, and cannot be seen from the south side. So you need to cross the stile into the middle field, which is much easier said than done, as that is completely overgrown in brambles and stingers. In the absence of secateurs and machete, brave Old Man battled a way through. This allowed us at least to clear the FB from the north side, even if any attempt to scale the plinth and check the top was completely out of the question. Reasonable views of rolling farmland north but nothing special. Oh, and the dogs are still running around at Hardisworthy Farm - drive carefully!

Walked from field to the north to reach this. Middle field style very boggy so waded across (bring wellies or flipflops for this bit). Trig visible from both sides of hedge but only just. Can't believe hedge growth since previous visitors. No sign of FB nor any ways of viewing it without a machete. Which I forgot to pack.

Hardisworthy Trig in disguise You can just about see this peeping 20cm clear of the densest vegetation. Not the most huggable trig I\'ve come across.©geodruth

Horrible experience! Negotiated narrow lanes to get here then managed to miss the trig completely. Spent ages looking for it, getting filthy in the process! Eventually found covered in ivy in hedge. Views but had had enough so didnt bother to admire them!

It's on top of a hedgebank just off the road, but a footpath gives access to the field. Be careful not to run over the seemingly limitless supply of dogs that live at Hardisworthy Farm. Pluh with indented lettering.
