Second visit. For photographs and GPS measurement. SITE VISIT: Parked on northeast verge just south of track at NX995069. Direct line across grazing field opposite, trig behind easily climbed barbed fence. Pillar in good condition. Spider centre has recently been cemented over with what looks like Elastoplast. Flush bracket faces northeast, ~46. Vented through SE and NW sight holes, innards probably blocked with flowing cement. 360 open outlook.

Stronger animal fencing with barbed wire across the top, now in place around the field. I managed to climb over this to flatten the bracken for photo. If you can get a photo without doing this it would be much better, as I wouldn't recommend fence-climbing. Or take a child which you can easily lift over the fence.

Parked next to aforementioned bridge. Went along north side of stream (into motocross track), and then up slope and over fence. Very hard slog through deep vegetation up to trig, stumbling into invisible rabbit holes and dodging residual barbed wire. The delimma was now complete. I really didn't want to have to return the same way, but the heifers in the 'easy route' field had all decided to come and inspect me. So I talked to them reassuringly, and hopped over into their field, and was then walked as much as I could along the steep slope towards car. They followed me along the top of the slope. A 10 yard dash at the end, and I was able to leap over the gate back into the road about 5 seconds before 20 tons of flesh came charging down the slope. Went back to talk to the cows over the gate again, and they back away - but would that have happened if I hadn't been able to exit the field so quick, or I had stumbled and fell.

We parked at the field entrance to the east. There was a chap with a camper van in the field north of the stream who uses the banks for m trial bike riding. Out of politeness we asked if we might go to the trig and in a broad Irish brogue he said he was squatting there anyway and to carry on. Nice views of the coast. Return back to the car south of the stream through cow pasture. Plug with heavily indented lettering.
