After the exertion of the Smatcher this one was tame and a short walk from the entrance to the field where the ground was luckily firm enough to pull in a car.

As I approached the field entrance to park the farmer emerged on her quad bike. Parked up and nipped to the trig and as soon as I started taking photo's she entered the field again - didn't seem interested in my presence in the slightest.

Bagged en-route to campsite after a day's Marilyn, trig & benchmark hunting. Located on N side of hedgerow 80m W of B4357, with convenient field entrance parking. Pillar and its large exposed concrete base are leaning to E, and with FB hard against fence, looks as though it's been moved to field edge, although OS GR does not indicate this. Other than the tilt, pillar in good condition; original cap; 2 sight holes open. Bramble and nettles were over growing it on one side and rear, cleared most of it away with secateurs. Lovely 360deg views - Bradnor and Hergest Ridge (where we had been earlier in day) both in full view along with many other hills.
