As per previous logs: we parked on the right side of the road (the minor road that leads NW towards Basingstoke) immediately to the left of the metal gate with the sign that said "No Public Access". Climbed over the gate, and the trig was immediately to the right. Trig visible from the metal gate (from the roadside). The trig was completely overgrown, so I put my gardening tools to good use clearing the overgrowth around it. The trig was in good condition, centre cap missing, left hand side of the trig completely covered with moss.

Snug coat of moss cleared from front of pillar, thought better leave something for next visitor to do! Pillar appears in good condition; cap missing, no plug; 2 sight holes open. Distant views to NW only.

Unsuccessfully sought this one years ago, but today armed with some directions from the fabulous Tripointing UK website, I found it. Just about 100 yards down Hatchwarren Lane from the Farleigh Wallop direction there is a gate on the right with the challenging 'No Public Access' sign. The pillar is a few paces to the right, and was covered in brambles, and surrounded by nettles: no wonder I missed it first time round.

Totally overgrown, even at this time of year so quite difficult to spot. But at least its bramble overcoat protects it - vgc except no cap or plug - merely a very large bramble growing right out of the hole. Circular walk from Cliddesden School via the dismantled railway, Three Castles Path and good lunch at the Fox in Ellisfield. Rather odd to see blackberries in blossom at this time of year!

This trig point is tucked away in the corner of a field only a few feet from the road. It's up against a barbed wire fence on one side with dense brambles and stinging nettles on the other. Best visit this one in the winter. It's in generally good condition but the centre plug has been removed leaving a hole that's just big enough to swallow an Etrex. The flush bracket is, of course, buried deep in the brambles and stinging nettles.
