During recce of LDWA 2020 100 route from Abergavenny to Pandy the weather deteriorated, v windy, driving sleet along Hatterrall ridge, so we decided to avoid Longtown and take the direct route back to Pandy by staying on the ridge, following Offas Dyke path, picking up this Trig as a bonus. The intense shower passed and we were rewarded with a stunning panorama from the pillar. Discovered geocache by accident in sheltered hollow next to pillar. Arrived at the Pandy Inn just as light failing.
