(150) Parked up by the side of the Little Midge pub (closed down) and crossed over to the bus stop on the other side of the road. Gained entry to the copse at that point, and then from there, it was into the field. Easy enough to spot, though it is becoming swallowed up by the hedge. In common with a lot of pillars encountered today, the back end of the year, might well be the best time to bag these.

Not as hard as previously described. Park along side the Little Midge Pub (closed) in Mill Lane. Cross road by the central refuge and enter the copse by the corner. Aim to keep the lane parallel and enter the rather muddy field but keep to the edge. Pillar is in between the first two trees in the hedge and, I may say, has been neatly clipped around by triggers(?). Recent hedge clippings were dusted off to reveal the original cap.

Had the idea I'd been here before but couldn't find it, not having decent 1:25000 map with me at the time. At last, got it. Parked next to closed pub and tried looking in W side of hedge along lane to Hatton, no luck. Went into corner of copse at the corner of the road junction with A158 and found trig in E facing hedge, which seems neatly trimmed back. Views of flat Lincs land.

Deeply embedded in a hedge on the side of a lane just off the A158. Of course, the flush bracket faced into the field, so a long trudge to find a fordable jump of the ditch and then an equally long trudge back on the edge of a very waterlogged arable field. The original plug is still there with slightly indented lettering. All sight holes are closed. There is a faint trace of white paint on the west face only. Quite a lot of ivy growing around it. Reasonable views eastwards towards Horncastle.
