Parked other side of little bridge, because sign said 'not suitable for motors', but no one else seemed to take any notice. Walked along part of the pennine way, through gate and along public footpath then up to trig, with great 360 views :-)

From Gargrave , Followed Mark House Lane Across Field to Trig which is in good condition and is situated close to a disused quarry in a sheep field ,excellent views inc Pendle. Weets, Bowland Fells and Dales returned via Pennine Way

Walked from Gargrave along Mark House lane to Crag Laithe. Short detour off footpath to trig on hill behind quarry. Walked back on Pennine Way which is very muddy at the moment.

Approached from Gargrave via the Pennine Way (very boggy) and returned via Mark House Lane (very muddy). Pillar nicely perched above the disused quarry.

Walked up from Gargrave village via the old lane linking Gargrave with Bell Busk - about a steady 90 minute walk there and back with a decent rest at the trig to take in the views. A sunshine and showers April day. Surprisingly good 360 degree views from here, despite being only around 700 feet above sea level, from this trig point on top of one of the glacial drumlins which are a common feature of this part of the Craven district. Trig is in good condition with original plug intact.

Parked near river aire bridge,walked up bridalway,trig in vgc original plug,very good views,little quarry to side.Walking group having butties at trig,The Wakefield thursday club,a group of retired mates that meet up once a week for a walk of about 5 or 6 miles nice.

Made a walk with Gargrave, the river and the canal, looking for BMs on the way. Old quarry? Perhaps - it's very lumpy.

Whilst on the trig, we saw a party of Hoorah Henry types with the dogs (they were in riding gear, minus the horses) Someone laying a trail had placed the rear leg of a hare on the trig. As the Master of hounds came up, we left.

Very visible and easily accessible. I cam up the footpath from Mark House Lane detouring to the trig(could also be reached from the Pennine Way). Lovely views all round. Trig in good condition with original plug with indented lettering.

Visited to record FB number. The pillar was completed 1st April 1949 costing 17.18s.4d. In 1951 this marker was computed for triangulation as tertiary staion SD96/T15 in the Skipton secondary block. Flush bracket S5308 was levelled for height in 1954. This trig point was last maintained by the OS in May 1976.
