Visited trig while completing a circular walk from Chesterwood. Reached by taking path from crossroads near Cubstocks (where also parked the car) crossed the fields then followed wall along to trig. Was Penny the Cockerpoo's first trig visit.

Nice easy but muddy walk up the Prow from the verge. Pillar offers great views over the Tyne Valley and toward Hadrians Wall. Added bonus that the woods where Lord Baden Powell held his first experimental Scout Camp (Lookwide) are in visible distance. Pillar in good condition, just missing Centre plug

From the southwest along the PROW. The 2nd stile, takes a bit to get over with slats missing. Second pillar of the day giving views of a snowy Cheviot, superb views.

From 90deg bend in road due S, easy walk up on farm track. Pillar sits on a low plinth, close to a stone wall. Centre cap missing, no plug; rear sight hole open. Smal plaque in memory of 2 local men. Extensive views.

My second visit, route as before, up track from S. I remembered this being an absolute quagmire on my previous visit, so before setting off changed into my wellies...needn't have bothered, could have done this walk in flip-flops today. Weather was also much better today than last time, appreciated the decent views north and south this TP affords.

Trig is sheltered next to a wall. On a clearer day I might have seen some better views. A dedication plaque is evident on S facing side.

My bi-annual trip to my local trig. Still in good condition. Walked from Haydon Bridge to Newbrough and back over Haydon Fell to visit trig. Approach on path from North is not reccommended in wet weather as cattle have churned up field.

SITE VISIT: Pillar in good condition. Spider centre open. Flush bracket faces west, ~264° across field. Vented through east sight hole.

Nice, rural view from trig. Easy to get too, via a quad bike track from a road. Bagged this on a hazy evening walking up from Haydon Bridge and Returning via North Bank.
