Park by cottage and access field from gate ,very distinct line as field goes to rough moor .Indistinct sheep path runs close to pillar ,excellent views.pillar in good condition ,with very rough flush numbers. The pillar and access are not overlooked at all so not a problem if you are quick and discreet!

In a very boggy field behind a farm. No-one in at the farm so I climbed the gate and eventually had to wade through a juncus-covered marsh to access the pillar. No paint. Original plug with slightly-indented letters. E sighthole open, the others closed. It's on a huge concrete base exposed all round. Reservoir compound to the W. There is slight damage to the figures on the flush bracket. Several RAF planes about! Good views to S and N along the coast.

There's a gate giving access to the field which the trig is in between Hendon (a cottage at the end of the track to the mast) and Hollacombe Farm. It's a bit trespassy to say the least but I risked it because this is one of the few primaries in this area that we haven't visited. It's quite boggy where the trig is with pleasant views to Bursdon Moor etc. Plug with indented lettering.
