Parked in layby down the road and headed along the farm track. Cows were in the barn today but a few people about. Reached the trig which is covered in brambles and hard to access. Did a few geocaches while in the area.

I was on a caching walk and spotted this in the corner of the field, there is a cache here but muggles and nettles resulted in me not looking for it. Trig looks in good condition.

Parked in a lay-by on the road adjacent New Buildings Farm and Boarding Kennels, where the pillar is located. Took the PRoW up to the pillar, which has now been moved to the corner of the field, next to a gate.

Passed this one whilst out with my walking group, the East Staffordshire Ramblers and noticed it had been uplifted and placed upright by the gate. If I had been alone, I would have asked the farmer when it had been lifted, why and what , if anything he planned to do with it. Alas, the ramblers are not that interested in pillars so I was unable to make enquiries.

Parked in large entrance to track to kennels. Along the track to pillar I met a girl from the kennels who told me it was no problem to enter the trig field.

Parked at Kennnels were staff gave permission to leave car and walk to pillar. Plastic cap decaying. In middle of grazing field.

No one about at the farm and gate to field was open. The field is still very boggy and the trig has its own moat of mud.

picked this one up by chance today on a walke with east staffs ramblers , trig man Curry scrim spotted first, it was a long road walk to get to it, weather was good views not to bad

Parked at farm entrance – a chap from the farm was walking dogs – asked if I could jump gate into the field – no problems except very wet ground from recent heavy rain – good job that I was trigpointing in wellies.

Parked at New Buildings farm and was directed by the passing friendly farmer. Approached through a very boggy field, trig was surrounded by a large puddle.Traces of white paint remained on the trig. Good views. Ignored by the moggies.

Did not squelch across to the pillar, was happy to get a good look from the nearby lane. Looks OK, still white. Standing in a huge puddle in a very muddy field on a dairy farm.
