Pillar was leaning at a jaunty angle due to the erosion of the ground below. Beautiful views; clear sky; could see for miles.

Parked at edge of a drive to the north. I had permission from a resident as I'd been working there. Headed south through field opposite the cricket pitch, totally waterlogged. Easy climb up through trig field. Great views.

I don't know about living on an island - this trig is leaning on one! Shame about the fog as I suspect it has reasonable views. To avoid the worst of the mud on the approach to this trig take the middle of the three paths from the E, not the most southerly one. Metal cap, shallow letters, vgc.

Very muddy walk up to this one and it was sitting in a big puddle. Its more like the leaning tower of Pisa than a pillar!

2/4 Parked in Hickling and took the Long Lane route, over a small gate and broken down fence to the pillar. The base of the pillar is completely exposed. Very good views on a warm day.

A nice walk from Nether Broughton beautiful day after shower,see for miles from this Pillar which leans to the north.Looks like someone intended moving it but had 2nd thoughts,needs standing in large egg cup to level it up. Off to Upper Broughton for bus.

Plug intact. Base exposed. FB polished by cattle (who may also have been responsible for the angle of the pillar). Light rain and humid conditions so views not up to much.

Parked by the duck pond outside the Plough Inn walked up to the trigpoint through the village after a lovely pint of Castle Rock Harvest Pale in the pub. Great views makes a nice change after being savaged by vicious dogs walking in the Spanish hills.

The area around the pillar has formed pond and erroded to an extent that all the foundation concrete is visible. My grid is taken from the top of the pillar.

Pillar in good condition, complete with all metalwork, but leaning, and eroded round base, probably by cattle - presumably also responsible for polishing the FB! Good views over the Vale of Belvoir.

vgc except leaning, assume pushed over by cattle, no obvious change since 2002. Metal cap shallow letters. Knoll on well defined ridge, lovely view across Vale of Belvoir, paths muddy at start. Song Thrush imitating a car alarm - excellent!

A clear day when we set off but only half a mile later it was blowing a gale and throwing it down! We were going on the the GeoCache nearby but thought better of it.

Pillar slightly tipped to the side, visited on way to Palindrome Hunter Geocache. Beautiful views over the Vale of Belvoir from the Standard.

This trig can be seen from the road, and a long way around. V cold icy wind today, but, I hicked it up the scarp there, to find the trig leaning at a jounty angle, with the base exposed. I've described it as toppled, but really, it is just leaning, lots! Sunny day with beautiful views all around

Its only just a little way off the path over a bit of a fence. The pillar is leaning well off the vertical in a shallow puddle of water. Nice views to the north.

Month of visit is correct, exact day probably not. Trig is visble from the public footpath over Hickling Standard but you need to cross a fence to reach the trig itself on private pasture. Views are extensive to the North where there are no close heights to block the view. Public footpaths in the area are not particularly well marked.
