After long evenings bagging southern trigs its nice to get back to the fells. In fact htis may be the highest trig in England and Wales that I still had to visit. Climbed up from Ashness bridge over easy ground if boggy in places. Then headed north over very wet ground via bleaberry fell to the camp site at Castlerigg. Trig of natural stone in good shape but a tarmac plug.

Walk up from Armboth via High Tove.High Tove to High Seat is waterlogged, just as well there was ice everywhere or we would not have made it. Nice views from the top.
