This is what happens when you are on a tight schedule to cram 13 trigs into one day. You misremember and convince yourself that this one was destroyed, so you pull into the quarry place, observe the mess it's all made, and drive on to the next one. So, I'm not having the gall to claim this as visited, but it's more that I cocked up and didn't make any attempt rather than that I failed to find it. I doubt if I'll be back though so this will have to do to turn that little blue dot into a red one on the Interactive Map!

The snow has finally cleared up, so I took the opportunity to go for a run. Path up to this one is very overgrown.

Parked in village and walked down Polkanuggo lane then took the path at the side of a house as the lane turns to the left. Walked up through bracken. Trig sat on rocks. Nice views. Avoid trying from the quarry side.

The end of a good afternoon's work. The view from this Trig is worth the walk up and is rewarding. It would be interesting to work out how to get out of the flooded quarry nearby if you fell in. The sides are sheer. Good bird spotting site too.

I accessed this from the yellow road leading off the A394 at Longdown. Climb over the gate with barbed wire on top just past the quarry entrance (where you can park). Initially there's some rubbish dumped but this soon leads up to the trig which is on a grassy knoll. A bit trespassy. I saw a large dog fox just as I approached the trig who ran off sharpish towards the quarry. Plug with heavily indented lettring.

Very suprised that nobody has bagged this beauty. Pillar damaged at the base, but has been constructed on the top of a pile of presumably quarry waste which is eroding away, and may have moved. The path shown to the top is a bit academic - it's not often used I'd speculate. Splendid views across this part of Cornwall with distant points being the St Austell Clay hills, Bodmin Moor, and the Carns to the north.
