Parked at the cut-in on Lake Lane near to the cross road on Northwich Road. We asked at the house on the corner to find out who owns the field where the pillar is, it was theirs. Permission granted, but warned it was very overgrown. Walked along Northwich road to the first gate, over, and off across two fields to site. Once there, as the gentleman said, It was very overgrown. We couldn't see the pillar, so based on our GPSr arrow, we created a path through the undergrowth to access it. Pleased to report it was bang on. There it was standing proud, we gave it a little hair cut and found the spider to be in excellent condition. The flush bracket is flush with the ground and in OK condition.

Almost a roadside pillar bit not quite. Situated in the roadside hedge but best approached from the field side. Flush bracket on that side too. The field is a cultivated one currently a potato crop which had luckily been harvested along the edge that I needed to traverse. The pillar is well and truly hidden in the hedge and bracken growth at the moment - almost could not spot it. At least it should last as long as the hedge. From what I could see everything in good order. The flush bracket is at ground level. Not the best location that I have ever been to.
