I finished the Peak District trig point challenge today naming now visited all 88 remaining pillars. From the outset I did not have plan but with just four left to visit, I decided to visit all four in a day and saved Shutlingsloe for the last visit. I started with Hill House which is located just off a single track lane. Parking is very limited but I found a space just off the road beside a gate - what3words butlers.airfields.viewing gets you to that spot. From their it's a very short walk back to the stile that leads to the pillar. It is in generally good condition but the original centre for the spider has been replaced with concrete or similar. Good views.

Took obvious track WSW from Blake Mere trig down to Middle Mills road and then followed this to The Mermaid. After taking in the view across to The Roaches I headed East along Leek Road to pick up the Hamps Way. Had intended to follow this to Lower Green Farm before cutting across to Hill House but I couldn't make out the PROW around Feltystitch and the ground was waterlogged. Instead, I retraced my steps back to Leek Road before taking Upper Elkstones and Breech Road round to the trig. Trig itself is easily accessed being located adjacent to a PROW. Everything in good order although original cap has been replaced with tarmac and not as resplendent white as the two other trigs visited earlier in the day. Ground rather eroded around the base. Views also less impressive and not a full 360 panorama. Continued due East then SE following PROWs to Ryecroft (which required more careful attention to my map than usual). A flock of sheep approached me as I made my way across to Townhead but they were far less intimidating than being charged by a herd of cows !! Finally followed the lane down to the B5053 and back into Warslow.

Parked just shy of the cattle grid and walked back along the lane to the footpath. Trig point being guarded by some pretty friendly cows, who thankfully allowed us access. TP in good condition and some great views all around. (Will upload photos when we return home on 21st August)

The flush bracket is slightly corroded and the plug has a concrete insert. Otherwise in good nick! It's in a slight dip on a small mound and there is some quite heavy erosion around the concrete base. The whole thing is surrounded by a posse of small stones.Very windy!!
