Memorable for being very windswept and wild visiting here, though it was at least keeping dry for the time being anyhow. Pillar still looks to be in decent enough condition, but this wasn't really a place to be hanging around at any longer than necessary today.

Approached from south. Easy parking in wide entrance off unclassified road at ND022692. A one minute walk from car to pillar which resides in an unkempt plot just east of a secure compound. Route through undergrowth was recently trampled. Column in good condition. Spider retains OS centre cap with deep indented letters. Flush bracket faces southeast, compass measurement 119°. Vented through back sight hole. Uninterrupted view to Orkney.

Drove upto the masts. Security guy watched from his office, but didn't come over when he seen me take photos of trig. Phew.

Drove right up to the masts. Unfortunately a security man was sitting at the Balfour Beatty van store and just as I was contemplating trying to get over the barbed wire for a picture of the flush bracket, his car door opened so I thought better of it.

Pillar just beside the road. FB faces south-east-ish with north-west-ish sighthole open only. Cap present with sunken lettering. Decent views.

Log #31, and last of mammoth North-East day trip. Didn't see any of the Authorised Access signs mentioned by previous loggers. Parked by metal fencing and hopped over the wire fencing to get into the trig's field. Rather overgrown compared to older photos. [ExP-31/MiP-0/BM-0]

Appears to be in the grounds of some sort of Business Park. Signs on road warning of Authorised Access Only, but I pressed on regardless. Passed a couple of vehicles leaving the park - lunchtime - but paid me no attention. Parked on road and dashed across fence to take pictures etc. When the police car drove up I got slightly concerned, but it didn't stop - just drove past - phew! Good condition, plug intact, no views

A nice trig point that I found remarkably hard to find considering its position. Good views out to sea to the north.
