Seen as the barbed wire is pretty new and I suspect the farmers up here have a tough time of it, a "socially distanced" visit. The long moody roads of the area half beautiful, half daunting.

We got over the barbed wire fence very slickly, and climbed back over it equally slickly. A very forgettable TP IMHO...

Actually sat in the car waiting to disembark from the St Margaret’s Hope ferry, and idly glancing at the map noticed this one as a possible easy ‘get’, and so it proved to be. A ditch to jump, and a barbed-wire fence to climb, and there it is in the middle of flattish moorland. An unspectacular setting, but they all count don’t they?

HISTORY: Pillar completed 28th September 1951 costing £14.4s.0d. Computed as tertiary triangulation station ND25/T12 in 1952. Levelled for height in 1954. Last maintained by the OS in June 1981. SITE VISIT: Roadside, behind easily crossed ditch on NW side of road. Parked in lengthy passing place on SE side of public road. Pillar in good condition. Spider retains original OS centre cap with deep indented letters. Flush bracket faces ENE, ~105°. Vented through NW sight hole, SE sight breaking open. Full 360° open outlook.
