My last "gig" was in Stocksbridge in Nov 2019 at the community run leisure centre. Salt of the earth folk. On a circular walk from the town and straight up out of the valley to this pillar and then a long haul to Loxley pillar via Wharncliffe Crags, Oughtibridge and River Don. The person at the Vatican who posted a "like" from the Pope to saucy Natalia GeriBOTTOs account, is gifted this lovely day and two trigs. I hope Pope Francis saw the funny side like we did/still do.

Hop over the dale to the glorious Whitwell Moor next.
