Noticed the gates open at the reservoir, walked in and asked worker if we could visit trig. He said he would be locking up in five minutes or so, just enough time to get over top of reservoir to other side by trees where trig was found.

From A32, short walk across large covered reservoir. Trig is on N side of chain link fencing in light briar and bramble so still accessible (no secateurs so unable to cut anything back); original cap in place, indented lettering; LHD side sight hole sealed. Very limited views.

Writing this in Aug 2018. Just dug out an old map and found notes on a few trigs I did in 1998. I remember this trip well, on NY Day as part of a resolution to do more trigging, I got up early and drove around a circuit of six North of Portsmouth. This was the last and I made no notes, but the map shows that I reached it OK.
